The investment of the Ingenium Sardegna venture capital fund, in December 2011, has allowed to increase the value of the Sar-Med company more than 10%. The growth is confirmed also by the performance of the last years. In 2017 the revenues were more than 15 mln of euros, while in 2016 were 12 mln.
Sar-Med is a company of the Medica Group in Medolla, with the core business in the production and commercialisation of special devices for the dialysis, water and oxygen humidification. Sar-Med, with its factories in Sardinia, Emilia Romagna and Tunisia, has 255 employees only in the Island. It markets its products all over the world. The relevant markets are USA, China, far and middle East. The goal is to keep growing.

The Ingenium Sardegna venture capital fund, managed by META Ventures, believed immediately in the company. META Ventures is an Italian company operating internationally in the management of equity financial instruments. As META Ventures, Roberto Bonanni assisted Sar-Med was assisted. He managed the fund from the beginning, finding in Sar-Med a company projected towards the technological sector of innovative and hi-tech products. The investment of META Ventures in Sar-Med, ended in August 2017 with the sale of the entire participation. The value of the Sardinia Region increased by more than 10%, a great performance. This gives hope in a sector not yet fully developed as it is the one of the Venture Capital.
Ingenium Sardegna is the instrument promoted by the Sardinia Region, among the line of activity 6.2.2b, Sardinia POR FESR 2007-2013, Axis VI Competitiveness.

Exit positiva per l’azienda medicale sarda
L’ investimento del fondo di venture capital Ingenium Sardegna avvenuto nel dicembre 2011, ha permesso di far aumentare il valore dell’azienda Sar-Med di oltre il 10%. La crescita è confermata dall’andamento degli ultimi anni. Basti pensare che nel 2017 i ricavi si sono attestati ad oltre 15 milioni di euro, contro i 12 del 2016.
La Sar-Med, azienda sarda del gruppo Medica di Medolla, ha come core business la produzione e commercializzazione di speciali dispositivi medicali per dialisi, acqua e umidificazione di ossigeno. La Sar-Med, con i suoi stabilimenti in Sardegna, Emilia Romagna e Tunisia, conta 255 dipendenti solo nell’Isola. Commercializza i suoi prodotti in tutto il mondo. I mercati di riferimento sono USA, Cina, lontano e medio Oriente, con ottime prospettive in centro e Sud America. L’obiettivo è quello di continuare a crescere.
Chi ha creduto nell’impresa è stato il fondo di venture capital Ingenium Sardegna. È stato gestito da META Ventures, società italiana operante a livello internazionale nella gestione di strumenti finanziari di equity. Roberto Bonanni ha seguito l’azienda. Lui ha curato fin dall’inizio l’investimento, individuando in Sar-Med un’azienda proiettata verso il trasferimento tecnologico di prodotti innovativi ed hi-tech. L’investimento di META Ventures in Sar-Med, si è concluso nell’agosto 2017 con la vendita dell’intera partecipazione. Si è visto un incremento del valore della Regione Sardegna di oltre il 10%, una prestazione di tutto riguardo, che fa ben sperare in un settore ancora poco sviluppato come quello del Capitale di Rischio.
