The Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) is a service, promoted by DG Grow, to provide advice to selected investment projects developed by the public-private partnerships on the Smart Specialisation Platform for Industrial Modernisation (S3P-Industry).
Through TAF, European region(s) leading the cross-border investment projects work with META's and BDO experts to improve their business plans and increase their investment readiness.
META, within TAF, is in charge of pre-assessment of the investment projects applying for support and of the delivery of the services. Depending on the specific needs of the projects, our experts provide tailored advice on a wide range of topics. These include, but are not limited to, appropriate financial structuring and mix of funding sources, investment vehicles, governance rules, business models, financials, cash flow analysis, due diligence preparation and intellectual property rights.
Our experts support innovation for broad range of actors including regional governments. We provide coaching and capacity building actions to give researchers and entrepreneurs the best chances of achieving market success.
Overall, META Advisory has conducted over 300 feasibility studies and delivered over 700 assignments and pilot projects worldwide, and actively contributes to evolving Smart Specialization policy discussions.
We have designed regional innovation and entrepreneurship strategies in over 30 regions across Europe, and provide a wide range of services to help regions and cities turn strategy into action.
