The Olympics of Entrepreneurship come to Milan - Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2015 - META Group will host the event for the first time in Italy

The Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2015 will be held for the first time in Italy, and will be hosted by META Group.

March 16-20 2015, Milan

The Global Entrepreneurship Congress is an event born in 2009, bringing together the best startups worldwide. The aim was, and still is, to create new connections and networking opportunities between entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, leaders and policy makers. The basic idea has always been to encourage the sharing of experiences and the identification of proposals to change what is wrong, in order to help the birth of new ideas and guide economic growth.

Over the past five years, Congress has contributed to the expansion of the global ecosystem of new businesses, connecting entrepreneurs and experts from different sectors, helping them to make innovation a reality. In summary, the Global Entrepreneurship Congress:

 Is a platform that operates worldwide for the exchange of ideas between policy makers, entrepreneurs, investors and startuppers; aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem thanks to initiatives to support the formation of new companies;

It strengthens the network of startups and helps entrepreneurs to understand that collaboration with the communities scattered in the various cities of the world can help them realize their ideas and make them scalable;

It improves collaboration on a global level and increases awareness of the efforts made at national level to promote entrepreneurship and economic development in the various territories;

Public recognition is growing for entrepreneurs, who play a key role in job creation, strengthen the economic system, and develop ideas that help make the world a better place.

In Milan, the GEC will be hosted by META Group and is formally endorsement by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the Congress the participants will be able to:

Be inspired by world leaders in the sector, economists and other experts, all gathered together with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship;

Acquire greater awareness of the key elements of the global ecosystem, which encourage the growth and development of innovation;

Meet delegates from over 130 countries around the world and share projects, experiences and above all opportunities with them;

Global Entrepreneurship Network

GEN was born with the aim of creating a movement of thought and a worldwide brand dedicated to entrepreneurship.

It originates from the combination and global expansion of two similar initiatives (Entrepreneurship Week in the United States and Entreprise Week in the United Kingdom), promoted respectively by the Kauffman Foundation, the main American foundation that operates on the theme of entrepreneurship, chaired by the American economist Carl Schramm, former President, one of the most recognized thinkers in the world on the theme of the support and development of entrepreneurship, qualified by The Economist as "the evangelist of entrepreneurship" and by the British government organization Enterprise UK wanted and created by the ex-Prime Minister Gordon Brown. It has been coordinated in Italy since 2008 by META Group.
